• Install Claude Code and confirm `claude --help` works
• Run `/init` in a real project repo and review the generated CLAUDE.md
• Read the Getting Started section of this guide
• Read the security & client data page and actually apply the .env permission denial
• Set your default model tier and understand when it's worth escalating
• Try Plan Mode on one real, non-trivial task before touching any code
• Look at (or add to) a subagent or skill already used on your project
• Get the shared CLAUDE.md template applied to a project you're working on
• Do one full task end-to-end with a teammate reviewing the diff before merge
• Join the internal channel where the team shares Claude Code tips and wins
